Brain health matters.

Brain health and mental health are intimately connected. In this brief interview, Dr Ineka explains why, and describes the simple, practical, scientifically-proven ways we can improve the health of our brain and by doing so, improve our mental health and well-being.

Overcoming anxiety to create healthy, resilient minds.

We are living in what has been coined ‘the anxiety epidemic’ of modern society with many contributing factors on the rise. Indeed children and adolescents are especially vulnerable, with ever-increasing technology and social media use, social pressures, increases in academic testing and family breakdowns. Understanding where anxiety comes from, its impacts on our brain, mind and body, and how to implement simple strategies to help manage and overcome our anxiety are powerful, life-changing tools. Dr Ineka delivers this presentation to school chaplains and leaders as part of their annual professional development training.

The perfect union: Brain, mind and faith

Wired for love.

This presentation takes a deeper look into how we can be "made new in the attitudes of our minds". Through a better understanding of how thoughts work at the biological level and exploring the neuroscientific evidence that demonstrates how a loving relationship with God impacts our brain and mind, we are able to harness our own phenomenal potential and flourish in body, mind and spirit.

Rethinking rest.

God designed us to need and take rest, yet amidst the chaos and demands of our busy lives, this need for rest is so often neglected. This talk takes a look at how and why our bodies and minds need rest at the biological level, and takes a deep-dive into the scriptures that reveal God's will for us to take rest. Not only does God mandate us to rest from work, but most importantly He shows us how to rest in work, such that we are able to live our lives from a place of rest in Him.
